Minneapolis

This week 's great news: Doris is up and around again. The catheter is still with her and we are promoised on Thursday next it will be history.
She is feeling good again and has her appetite back.
She is planning a trip to Barstow to visit sistr Ruby. Each year Doris and Ruby get together to visit, travel to Laughlin, NV, play the machines and just have a ball. Ruby dislikes traveling and Doris still travek with a smile.

Last weeks weather was cold and windy. Today we had a nice rain, cold and dreary, however we are appreciative of the moisture from above. Minnesota lakes are estreemly low, and have been for the last few years. Makes it tough on fishing and all of the water sports.

The tomato plants are begining to crowd the window table but it is not warm enough to put out into the Minnesota early spring. I will move them to shop and hope they will survive amongst all the saw blades wood chips and saw dust until Mothr nature decides it is time to turn up the heat.

The road construction is under way around our 14th floor home. It's kind of like "Little House on the Prairie". Streets are torn up, filed with gravel, temporary no left turn, no thru traffic, do not enter and orange plastic barrels by the hundreds suround us. The construction will be with us for the balance of this year.

Grandaughters Julie and Jenny, Jim Jr,s children, were here for a short visit from their home in Alabama. We talk with them quite often but don't see them very often. It was a great visit and we realy appreciated the time we had with then. They left this morning on a not to early flight and will be home and began to get resettled by early evening.

Our very best and thanks to all who have helped Doris on her medical adventures this year. She has agreed to get back to her old self and routine.
